Special Education Teacher

Amergis Staffing is seeking Special Education Teachers for the 25/26 School Year. 

Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Multiple Openings: Elementary, Middle, and                  High School)
Start Date: August 18, 2025 
Work Hours: 35 hours/week 
Duration: 9 months

Position Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and collaborative Special Education Teachers to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. These roles require a strong commitment to team-based planning and implementation of student programs, including special instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation with general education staff.

Openings are available across elementary, middle, and high school levels, with a mix of general education co-teaching/resource roles and self-contained classrooms.

Program Types:

• General Education Environment: Co-teaching or resource support
• Self-Contained Classrooms:
  • Expressions Program: Focus on functional academics and limited communication
  • Pyramid Program: Therapeutic support and structured behavior management

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and district regulations
• Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)
• Certification Types (preferred):
  • Standard Elementary Teaching
  • Standard Secondary Teaching
  • Standard Special Teaching
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
