Amergis Staffing is seeking a School Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Maryland (RN License Required)
Start Date: August 11, 2025
Duration: 10 Months
Work Hours: 37.5 hours/week (varying start times between 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Position Summary:

The School Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to students in a school setting. This role supports the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of students and plays a vital role in promoting health and safety, managing chronic conditions, responding to medical emergencies, and serving as a liaison between families, school staff, and healthcare providers. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate student care.
• Promote health education and disease prevention among students and staff.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as needed.
• Manage chronic health conditions and administer medications per physician orders.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers.
• Support compliance with public health regulations and school policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment (Compact RN with MD license required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (clinical rotations, LPN experience, or pre-licensure work does not qualify).
• Experience in school nursing, public health, or pediatrics preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• TB screening and current health certificate as required.
