RBT/Behavior Support Specialist

Location: Allegan, MI
Start Date: 2025–2026 School Year
Salary: Competitive, based on experience, credentials, and specialized training – starting at $900 weekly pay
Employment Type: W2 – 40 week contract

Position Summary

As a Behavior Support Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in fostering a positive school climate by supporting students with behavioral challenges and coaching staff in effective intervention strategies. You’ll collaborate closely with school leadership to implement school-wide Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) and Restorative Practices, while also providing direct, hands-on support to students and staff.

What You’ll Do

Deliver job-embedded professional development on MTSS and behavioral strategies
Coach teachers and support staff in implementing Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions
Provide small group and 1:1 socio-emotional and behavioral support to students
Model and teach de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques
Support the implementation of PBIS and Restorative Practices
Collect and analyze behavior data to inform intervention plans
Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent, effective support for all students

What You Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred
Experience working with children in structured settings (preferred)
Training in PBIS and Restorative Practices, with the ability to coach others
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Patience, maturity, and a passion for student success
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
