Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a school in Waltham, MA, currently seeking a Long Term Substitute Speech Language Pathologist to work with students on a contractual basis for the 2025–2026 school year.
Position Details:
- Location: Waltham, MA
- Start Date: October 2025
- End Date: June 21st, 2026
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00a-2:30p
- Pay Rate:
- Up to $70.00/hour
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Massachusetts state licensure
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP preferred)
Job Description:
Seeking SLPs to support across the district.
- Responsibilities include:
- Assessing and diagnosing speech/language impairments
- Developing and implementing IEP goals and therapy plans
- Providing individual and group therapy
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Maintaining documentation and participating in IEP meetings

The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician’s orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
