Position Summary

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for implementing and coordinating respiratory care in accordance with departmental policies. Duties include operating respiratory equipment for diagnosing and treating respiratory conditions, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across all patient populations. The role also involves active participation in interdisciplinary team efforts.

Position Requirements

  • Licensure/Certifications:

    • Active Colorado Respiratory Care License
    • BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
  • Education:

    • Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
    • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Experience:

    • 2 years of recent clinical experience
  • Skills & Abilities:

    • Prioritizes care for acute med-surg and rehab patients
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Adapts to changing demands and follows instructions effectively
    • Recognizes and responds to changes in patient condition
    • Collaborates well with teams and handles emergencies appropriately
    • Demonstrates respect and sensitivity toward individuals with disabilities
