Certifications: ARRT (CT), WI State License & AHA BLS
Weekends: 12HR days; Every other Sat & Sun from 6a-6p

Minimum Experience: 2+Years of CT experience required
Charting Experience Required: EPIC Preferred. Must be able to run a Toshiba and GE scanner and a Samsung MGE portable
Required Skillset: IV starts, Portable work in ED – team player, flexible, patient focused, efficient, can function independently, ability to mentor
Unit Information (Bed size, Case type, Patient ratio):1:1 Outpatient ER
Primary Cases: 50% CT and 50% Xray. Must be able to do General CT & General X-ray.
No New Travelers – at least one completed contract REQUIRED
The CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician. These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which are essential for accurate diagnostics. The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist also performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures
- Positions patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
- Appropriately sets the controls of the relate equipment; monitors equipment and patient; makes adjustments as necessary
- Assists radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IV’s, and injecting contrast, if applicable
- May dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans
- Assists radiologist with interventional CT procedures
- Evaluates CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately label
- May be responsible for scheduling patients for procedures and assisting with some clerical functions
- Charges procedures and supplies used to the patient record appropriately
- Loads and operates power injections for contrast media administration
- Maintains accurate patient records for all procedures performed; maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA standards
- Adheres to all Amergis and worksite rules, policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologist preferred.
- Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging
- A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency program when applicable
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
- Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
