The 1:1 SchoolLPN/LVN identifies and treats health disorders among students in the schoolsetting. The 1:1 School LPN/LVN provides instruction for the student’s generalwellbeing and disease prevention. The School LPN/LVN monitors the student’sphysical conditions in the school setting and refers the student to appropriateresources as needed. The work of the School LPN/LVN is performed incompliance with his/her LPN/LVN scope of practice and according to stateeducation codes.

Minimum Requirements:
- Current LPN/LVN license for the state in which the nurse practices
- Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
- One year prior professional nursing experience in school setting preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Current BLS card
- Considerable knowledge of medical disorders and treatment
- Considerable knowledge of child growth and development
- Some knowledge of public health problems and procedures for treatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies
- Some knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations affecting the delivery of school health services
- Understands the school organization and the community served
- Must be at least 18 years of age
