1:4 RN to Patient Ratio
Trauma 1 & Surgical Experience Required
The population consists of surgical oncology patients, urology, gynecological and colorectal. This includes, but is not limited to:
• ENT surgeries (radical neck, oral reconstruction total laryngectomy, etc.)
• Pancreatic/liver surgeries (Whipple surgery)
• Colon surgery (colectomy, ileostomy, colostomy, wound vac and wound manager)
• Gynecological surgery/procedures
• Urology procedures

The Oncology Registered Nurse evaluates, plans, implementsand documents nursing care for the oncology patient population. The OncologyRegistered Nurse works in hospitals and outpatient care centers where patientsreceive cancer treatments. In hospitalsettings, the Oncology Registered Nurse assists with surgery prep, patienteducation and coordination of their cancer treatments. In outpatient care center settings, theOncology Registered Nurse typically helps with treatments such as chemotherapyand infusions while monitoring patients’ vitals, side effects, and pain.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current RN license in state practicing
- One (1) year of experience in oncology nursing preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
