About the Role

Amergis Staffing is hiring a Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher to support K–12 students in Atascadero, CA. This full-time, school-based position begins August 4, 2025, and offers a rewarding opportunity to provide individualized instruction and foster inclusive learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learners
Provide small-group and individualized instruction
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions
Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
Valid California Education Specialist Credential – Mild/Moderate
Minimum of one year of classroom experience preferred
Current CPR certification (if applicable)
TB clearance and health certificate (per state/district requirements)
Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
