About the Role

Amergis Staffing is hiring a Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher to support K–12 students in Atascadero, CA. This full-time, school-based position begins August 4, 2025, and offers a rewarding opportunity to provide individualized instruction and foster inclusive learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs

• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learners

• Provide small-group and individualized instruction

• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions

• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)

• Valid California Education Specialist Credential – Mild/Moderate

• Minimum of one year of classroom experience preferred

• Current CPR certification (if applicable)

• TB clearance and health certificate (per state/district requirements)

• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
