Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN) provides compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals with mental health and behavioral disorders in an inpatient psychiatric hospital. The RN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mental health assessments and monitor patient status
  • Administer medications and monitor for side effects
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and coping strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards
