The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician’s orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract. 
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

Full school year

Start Date:

August 12th orientation and training, students return 25th

Pay Rate:

$45+

Hours/schedule:

35 hour, Amergisum 7 hours per day

Qualifications/Licensure:

MD SLPA

Typical job duties & work environment:

Caseload: Elementary/Pre-k. Shared caseloads with SLP. Supporting students and helping with some sessions. No IEP meetings or assessments. Must do data collection and progress reports. Open to feedback and able to work 5 days per week.

Specific experience required:

1 year with schools

What type of EMR/charting is used:

Relay. Notes entered by the end of each week. Log notes must be up to date for SLP’s to have data.

Orientation process:

2 weeks 12th – 25th

Dress Code & Parking:

School appropriate

Credentialing Requirements:

MD 486, CPS, FP


  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
