Join a welcoming and student-centered middle school in Mount Prospect, IL as a Special Education Teacher providing FMLA coverage this fall. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team to deliver meaningful instruction and support for a manageable caseload of approximately 14 middle school students across self-contained, resource, and cross-categorical settings.

What You’ll Do:
- Deliver specially designed instruction to students in grades K–12 (middle school caseload focus)
- Collaborate with general education staff on student goals and instructional strategies
- Provide instructional support, tutorials, and accommodations based on IEPs
- Support students in both academic and social-emotional development

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
- Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
- Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:40 AM – 3:50 PM
