????? School Social Worker – Merrill Elementary School
Location: Merrill Elementary School, Beloit, WI
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation: $50/hour
School Year: 2025–2026
Position Summary:
Merrill Elementary School is seeking a compassionate and experienced School Social Worker to support the social, emotional, and behavioral development of students. This full-time role is essential in fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment while connecting families with vital resources.
?? Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counseling
- Support IEPs and 504 Plans
- Consult daily with staff and parents regarding interventions and classroom strategies
- Perform assessments and make referrals
- Develop and deliver social-emotional education modules
- Coordinate community and agency referrals
- Track attendance and implement intervention plans
- Facilitate crisis response protocols
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
?? Education and License Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program
- LSW required
- LCSW preferred
- Wisconsin DPI Educator License required
?? Experience and Skills
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience (child welfare or school setting preferred)
- Familiarity with IEPs, RTI, PBIS, trauma-informed practices, and family engagement
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Competence in crisis management, risk assessments, and child protection
- Experience working with diverse populations
