Job Title:Correctional Nurse (LPN)

As a correctional nurse, you’ll provideessential care to a unique and underserved population in a secure,team-oriented environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to growprofessionally while supporting the health and dignity of individuals incustody. Pay will vary depending on whether you are licensed as an RN or anLPN.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Deliver both routine and emergency nursing care to incarcerated individuals
- Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, correctional officers, and administrators
- Conduct assessments, administer medications, and manage chronic and acute conditions
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold healthcare and facility protocols
- Respond to medical emergencies and participate in crisis intervention as needed
- Educate patients on health maintenance and wellness
Qualifications:
- Current LPN license in the state of Virginia
- MUST have at least 1 year of correctional healthcare experience to be considered for this role
- Current and active BLS certification
- TB screening (PPD, chest x-ray, or questionnaire as applicable)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Weekend availability is required
- Flexibility to travel or relocate for the duration of the assignment
