Amergis Careers

The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician’s orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active  Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract. 
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice 
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age  

Modality:  

 School SLP- CCC (In person preferred, but could be flexible with a hybrid model and virtual is last resort)

Grade Level:

Prek-8th Grade

Caseload Details:

Enrollment not confirmed for 25-26 SY, around 650 students

1 student at the middle school grade level, most of the services would be at the elementary grade level

Classroom Support?:

2 other SLPs to assist

Start/End Date:

August 12th- End of School Year in May

Start/End time:

 8am-3pm

Breaks paid/unpaid:

 Unpaid, 30 mins
