Amergis Staffing is currently seeking experienced and qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for a Correctional facility in the Spruce Pine, NC area. The details for these positions are as follows:
Position Description:
The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility security standards.
Position Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift/Schedule: Days – 5:30a-6p
- Hours/Week: 36/48hrs rotating weekly
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend
- Length of Contract: 13 weeks
Minimum Requirements:
- Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state
- Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred
- Corrections experience is required. NCDAC Experience is preferred.
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
