Amergis Healthcare Staffing is hiring experienced Registered Nurses ((RNs) to support a rehabilitation hospital/LTAC hospital in Orange County/Riverside! ICU and Med Surge Nurses strongly preferred.
Details
- Setting: Rehabilitation Hospital/LTAC
- Location: Santa Ana, Westminster, Brea, and Perris
- Schedule: AMs/NOCCs (12 hour shifts)- Per Diem flexible scheduling
- Pay:$48-$64/hour (we offer weekly pay!) + OT after 8 hours
RN Responsibilities:
- Continuously assess and monitor vital signs and neurological status to detect changes in patient condition.
- Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and other treatments with precision and adherence to protocols.
- Respond to medical emergencies and perform life-saving interventions, including CPR and code blue response.
- Manage and troubleshoot critical care equipment such as ventilators, feeding tubes, and suction devices.
- Collaborate with physical, occupational, and speech therapists to support individualized patient recovery goals.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence.
- Educate patients and families on post-ICU recovery, including home care strategies and adaptive techniques.
- Develop and update personalized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Coordinate discharge planning and facilitate smooth transitions to lower levels of care or home environments.
- Advocate for patient needs to ensure continuity and quality of care throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, social workers, and family members to ensure cohesive care delivery.
- Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to patients coping with disability, chronic illness, or life-altering injuries.
RN Qualifications:
- BLS/CPR certified (or willing to obtain before start)
- Active RN license in the state of California
- at least 2 year of ICU experience as a RN strongly preferred
