Amergis Educational Staffing ispartnered with a school in New Bedford, MA, currently seeking SpeechLanguage Pathologists to work with students on a contractual basis forthe 2025–2026 school year.
Position Details:
- Location: New Bedford, MA
- Start Date: August 28, 2025
- End Date: June 17, 2026 (not including snow days)
- Schedule: 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday – Friday
- Pay Rate:
- Up to $68.00/hour
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Massachusetts state licensure
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP preferred)
- Will consider Clinical Fellows (CFs) – supervision provided
Job Description:
Seeking SLPs to support across thedistrict for the 2025–2026 school year. Caseloads are TBD asenrollment changes, with a preference for full-time candidates.Opportunities available to work with all grade levels.
- Caseloads will be based on candidate’s preference and experience
- Each SLP will be assigned a caseload of approximately 40–50 students
- Responsibilities include:
- Assessing and diagnosing speech/language impairments
- Developing and implementing IEP goals and therapy plans
- Providing individual and group therapy
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Maintaining documentation and participating in IEP meetings

The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician’s orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
