Respiratory Therapist

The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory and pulmonarytherapy, management, and rehabilitation under the direction of a doctor.  The Respiratory Therapist treats conditionsthat affect the pulmonary system and help patients who are having troublebreathing from infants to the elderly in a variety of health caresettings. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Respiratory Therapist Certification or Registrationfor the state in which he/she practices
• One year of respiratory therapy clinical experiencepreferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age Compliance & EthicsExpectations

•         Active MA license

  ·         CRT or RRT accepted

  ·         Must have active NRP cert

  ·         2+ years of acute care experience

  o   They have a very active critical care unit

  ·         BLS by start date

•  36 or 48-hour guarantees available

  ·         Nights 7:00pm – 7:30am

  ·         Every other weekend rotation required

  ·         Block scheduling available if desired

  o   Discussed in interview
