Sign Language Interpreters for 2025/2026 School Year

• Provide real-time sign language interpretation for deaf and hard-of-hearing students during classroom instruction, school activities, and meetings.
• Translate spoken language into sign language and vice versa to facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, and peers.
• Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to support student learning and inclusion.
• Help bridge communication between families and school personnel to support student success.
• Support students in developing self-advocacy and communication skills.

• State Board of Education Initial Sign Language Interpreter Certificate
• Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) certificate 
• Licensure from the RID or TEC Unit plus 5 years of experience in educational setting
• Annually complete 20 hours of professional development related to interpreting approved by local education agency
