Amergis Educational Staffing is actively hiring a Sign Language Interpreter in Charlotte!
Details:
- Start date: August 2025
- Contract Length: 2025 – 26 School Year, potential to extend
- Flexible to work with students of all grade levels
- 1:1 services
- Ongoing PD offered
- Strong support team in place with a Lead Interpreter
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in interpreting or a related field and must meet 20 hours of professional learning related to interpreting/transliterating annually
- Must have one of the 2 license/tests:
- National Interpreter Certification (NIC) through Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID)
- Educational Interpreting Proficiency Assessment (EIPA) with a score of 3.5 or higher
- Willing to accept candidates who have proof of completed EIPA test who are waiting on results; must be willing to take additional pre-hire screening
- Experience working in an educational setting preferred
