Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Salary: $50-$65/hr
JobDescription:
We are seeking a dedicated andpassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate willhave experience working with students with diverse learning needs and will becommitted to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in various settings, including inclusive classrooms and resource rooms.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school psychologists, and other specialists to ensure students’ needs are met.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and IEP goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.
- Implement behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with disabilities, including autism, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.
