Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Bellflower, Cerritos

Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Salary: $50-$65/hr

JobDescription:

We are seeking a dedicated andpassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate willhave experience working with students with diverse learning needs and will becommitted to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in various settings, including inclusive classrooms and resource rooms.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school psychologists, and other specialists to ensure students’ needs are met.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.
• Implement behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with disabilities, including autism, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.
