Medical Assistant - Part Time

?? Contract: 2025–2026 School Year
?? Schedule: Monday – Friday
? Hours: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Wednesdays start at 12:30 PM)
?? Pay: $23 / hour

Are you a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant with a heart for working with children? We’re looking for a dedicated professional to support our afterschool program in Palm Springs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students in a supportive and collaborative environment.

? Requirements:

• Current Medical Assistant Certification
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Comfortable working with students with disabilities
• Proficient with digital platforms and software for documentation

?? Key Responsibilities:

• Health Support & First Aid:

  • Administer medications under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Provide first aid care for students (e.g., seizure monitoring, diabetic care, allergy and asthma support, cuts, sprains, etc.)
  • Assist students with toileting and diapering as needed
  • Support students with severe disabilities, including wheelchair transportation

• Documentation & Communication:

  • Maintain accurate student health office documentation and records
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student health needs
  • Collaborate with health office staff and school personnel
  • Use various software platforms to manage attendance, health procedures, medications, and incident reports
