Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking staff for K-12 schools After School Programs in Lodi and Stockton, CA. The staff will work with students in general education as well as student who receive special education or related services, have a 504 plan, or are in a Special Education Classroom.
Some cases include:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDDNOS)
- Childhood Disintegrative Disorder (CDD)
- Cerebral Palsy
- Down Syndrome
- Various birth disorders
- ADD/ADHD
- Learning disabilities
- Other
Location: Lodi or Stockton, CA
Start Date: July 29th 2025
Duration: Entire School Year +
Schedule: Monday-Friday after school hours (between 11am and 5pm)
- Part-time options available
Pay: $18+ an hour starting rate (varies based on experience)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting with academic support: Helping students with homework and reinforcing core academic subjects
- Leading enrichment activities: Facilitating activities such as arts, music, health, nutrition, and physical recreation
- Supervising students: Ensuring a safe and positive environment for learning and recreation
- Managing behavior: Addressing and guiding student behavior to maintain an optimal learning atmosphere
- Maintaining records: Keeping track of attendance, activities, and other program-related documentation
- Follow the instructions of the program supervisor
- Provide behavior assistance/interventions to students
- Provide behavior support services
- Provide crisis intervention
- Implement behavior plans
- Provide administrative support to teachers
- Monitor child development
- Prepare educational materials
- Collect and analyze data on student behavior and progress
- Assist with mobility and daily activities
- Offer social support and help with social skills development
- Perform other duties as assigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Current CPR certification (we can help you sign up for a class)
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required
- TB test required (if you do not have one from within the last 90 days, we can set one up for you)
