The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of theSpecial Education Program Administrator provides quality services to specialeducation students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitmentto team participation in planning and implementation of student programsincluding special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation withgeneral education staff.

Position: Early Childhood Special Education Teacher Location: Lompoc, CA (Santa Barbara County) Employer: Backstage Health (Contracted with local school district) Type: Full-Time, In-Person | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week Start Date: August 2025

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a core member of the IEP Planning Team
Assess and support early learners with special needs
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Deliver specialized instruction aligned with state and federal standards
Collaborate with families, general education teachers, and support staff
Maintain compliance with documentation and reporting requirements

Qualifications:

Valid California Education Specialist Credential in Early Childhood Special Education (or equivalent)
Experience working with preschool-aged children with disabilities
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Passion for early intervention and inclusive education

Pay rate shown is for candidates 50+ miles from site. Local pay rate is $60/hr
