About Amergis Healthcare and the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide direct care including individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and substance abuse education.
• Implement and manage services within a multi-disciplinary mental health treatment unit.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in mental health and substance use disorders.
• Coordinate care with medical staff and other professionals, including tele-behavioral health services.
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic health records (EHR).
• Participate in suicide prevention, post-discharge planning, and case management.
• Provide training and consultation to ICE, medical, and contract staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Minimum one year of experience as an independent LCSW.

• Unrestricted license to practice clinical social work in the state of assignment.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association® or American Red Cross).
• Privileging by IHSC required.

• Experience with Modified Therapeutic Community treatment models.
• Background in detention, correctional, or residential healthcare settings.

Skills & Attributes

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in DSM-V diagnostics and therapeutic modalities.
• Ability to work in multicultural and multilingual environments.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Must pass DHS background investigation and obtain a Favorable Fitness Determination.
• Physically able to respond to emergencies and assist patients as needed.
