Amergis Staffing is currently seeking Speech Language Pathologists for the 2025/2026 school year in the Lompoc, CA and surrounding areas (Orcutt, Santa Ynez, Los Olivos, Solvang)
Position Details:
Pay: $4,029 (Travel weekly pay for candidates 50+ miles)
Local Pay: $100 / hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Hours/Week: 37.5 hours
Start Date: August 2025
Length: 2025/2026 School Year
Details: School/Education setting, K-12th grade, In-person

The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician’s orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assesses students’ communication skills (e.g. articulations, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, etc.) for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for treatment
- Collaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals for the purpose of communicating information, resolving issues and providing services in compliance with established guidelines
- Coordinates meetings and processes for eligible students (e.g. testing/screening, IEPs, parent conferences, pre-referral staffing, etc.) for the purpose of presenting evaluation results, developing treatment plans, and/or providing training to parents/students/staff
- Develops treatment plans, interventions and/or educational materials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Instructs eligible students in the use of appropriate communication technologies (e.g. hearing aids, FM systems, augmentative communication devices, etc.)
- Maintains files and/or records (e.g. progress reports, activity logs, billing information, treatment plans, required documentation, quarterly reports, screening results, etc.)
- Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars (e.g. training, IEPs, team meetings, etc.)
- Provides speech and language therapy to students for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of speech and language disorders on student success • Seeks appropriate in-service and professional development
- Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for theimplementation of speech/language pathology services.
Minimum Requirements:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
