ESY Speech Language Pathologist

Amergis Educational Staffing is currently partnered with a school in North Dighton, MA, seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work with students on a contractual basis this summer.

Position Details:

• Location: North Dighton, MA
• Pay Rate: Up to $70/hour
• Start Date: July 7th
• End Date: August 8th
• Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • Hours: 7:45 AM – 12:15 PM
• Duration: 1 month

Job Description:
The SLP will be responsible for conducting student evaluations, providing therapy services, and documenting progress in accordance with each student’s individualized plan of care and physician’s orders. This role also includes supervision of an SLPA.

Caseload:

• Approximately 15 students in small groups (2–3 students per group)
• An additional 15–20 students requiring services, shared between the SLP and SLPA

Requirements:

• Strong clinical and documentation skills
• Experience supervising SLPAs is preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a school-based setting

The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician’s orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract. 
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
