We are seeking passionate and dedicated SpecialEducation Teachers to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year.With six openings across elementary gradelevels—including five self-contained classrooms and oneresource room—this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact in asupportive, collaborative environment.
Position Overview:
- Location: Raytown, MO
- Compensation: $45/hour
- Hours: 40/week
- Openings: 6
- Grade Levels: Elementary (assignment specifics will be decided after interviews)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday (No Nights, No Weekends, No Holidays)
- Contract: Entire 2025-2026 School Year
- Weekly Pay + Benefits
- Start: August 5, 2025 (New Teacher Orientation)
As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll work under theguidance of the Special Education Program Administrator to deliverhigh-quality, individualized instruction to students with diverse learningneeds. You’ll be part of a team that values inclusion, innovation, and studentsuccess.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with IEP goals
- Deliver engaging group and individual instruction
- Create student schedules to meet IEP service minutes
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and behavioral staff (RBTs, BCBAs)
- Manage classroom behavior using PBIS, IEP, and district guidelines
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians
- Collect and analyze student data
- Ensure compliance with all special education timelines and documentation
- Facilitate IEP and evaluation meetings
- Lead weekly meetings with Instructional Assistants
- Administer district and state assessments
- Supervise and schedule Instructional Assistants
- Participate in professional learning and school-wide meetings
- Perform other duties as needed to support student success
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
- Valid Missouri teaching certificate (required)
- Certification in one or more of the following (preferred):
- Standard Elementary Teaching
- Standard Secondary Teaching
- Standard Special Education Teaching
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1)
- MO DESE Certification: Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe
- Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB Questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
- Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of theSpecial Education Program Administrator provides quality services to specialeducation students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitmentto team participation in planning and implementation of student programsincluding special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation withgeneral education staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited universitypreferred
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state,contract/district regulations
- Minimum of one year experience in teaching environmentpreferred
