We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in a corrections facility located in Pinckneyville, IL. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $65/hr and a structured schedule consisting of 2-hour shifts and 2-12 hour shifts, totaling 40 hours per week. .
Location: Pinckneyville, IL
Pay Rate: $65/hr (local)
Travel rate is $2846/week
Shift: All shifts available
Schedule:
- 2-hour shifts and 2-12 hour shifts per week

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to inmates, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities.
- Medical Assessments: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of inmates’ health status, documenting findings and reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Treatment Plans: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies within the facility, providing immediate care and stabilizing patients until further medical assistance is available.
- Health Education: Educate inmates on health maintenance, disease prevention, and proper hygiene practices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies and state regulations.
- Infection Control: Implement and adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases within the facility.
- Support Services: Assist in coordinating specialty care services, such as mental health and substance abuse treatment, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Current and valid RN license in the state of Illinois.
- Experience: Previous experience in corrections or a similar setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a challenging environment.
