Job Summary:

Amergis is seeking two passionate and dedicated Special Education Resource Teachers to join our team. These educators will provide specialized academic instruction and support to students with disabilities in inclusive and resource settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with IEPs in a resource setting or general education classroom.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success.
  • Utilize data to inform instruction and monitor student progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the SIRAS IEP system.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, student study teams, and professional development activities.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
  • Valid California Education Specialist Credential in Mild/Moderate (M/M) or Extensive Support Needs (ESN)
  • Experience working with students with a range of disabilities, including learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Familiarity with SIRAS or similar IEP management systems preferred
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
