Job Title: LMSW Addiction Therapist Location: Crownsville, MD
Position Type: Full-Time (Day or Evening Shifts, Primarily Monday–Friday)
Compensation: $48/hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Addiction Therapist to provide high-quality addiction treatment services in Crownsville, MD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of clients, conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions in accordance with state regulations and program requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Case Management – Maintain a caseload of clients as designated by program requirements and regulatory guidelines.

Assessments & Evaluations – Complete screenings, intakes, clinical assessments, ASAM evaluations, and biopsychosocial histories to establish individualized care.

Treatment Planning – Develop and finalize individualized treatment plans upon client admission, ensuring they align with clinical and regulatory standards.

Clinical Documentation – Accurately document all services and interventions within the electronic health record (EHR), completing monthly treatment reports in a timely manner.

Electronic Health Record Maintenance – Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring documentation is completed within 24 hours of service delivery (no later than 72 hours).

Therapeutic Sessions – Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions based on client treatment goals and level of care.

Funding Source Reviews – Participate in funding source reviews, making recommendations for appropriate treatment plans and lengths of stay.

Client Monitoring & Adjustment – Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure continued effectiveness.

Coordination of Care – Collaborate with agency and community resources to create a comprehensive, holistic treatment plan for each client.

Discharge & Continuing Care Planning – Assist clients in developing post-treatment plans and connect them with necessary community resources to support ongoing recovery.

Follow-Up Services – Conduct follow-up with clients after discharge according to regulatory guidelines, ensuring a smooth transition to other case management and social services.
Qualifications:

Education: Master’s degree in Social Work (LMSW) required.

Licensure: Must hold current LMSW licensure in Maryland.

Experience: Prior experience in addiction treatment and substance use disorder counseling preferred.

Skills: Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills; proficiency in EHR systems; ability to provide compassionate, evidence-based care.
