Position Overview: School Aide
The School Aide is a dedicated professional who provides instructional and/or behavioral support to students under the supervision of the Special Education Department or an assigned designee. In addition to academic assistance, the School Aide may offer support services to students requiring personal care, physical mobility assistance, or therapeutic interventions, as prescribed by a licensed rehabilitation specialist, social worker, or other qualified healthcare professional.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- Completion of TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
- Valid Health Certificate (as required by contract or state regulations)
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local employment requirements
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years
