We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team and support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students. The School Psychologist will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to assess and address student needs, develop intervention plans, and foster a supportive learning environment.

Position Details

  • Assignment location: Rensselaer, IN
    • Would consider Part-Time or Full-Time candidates
    • Would consider virtual candidates
  • Compensation: Virtual $50/hr | On-site $62/hr
  • Full-Time Hours: 35 / Week | Part-Time Hours: Open to discussion
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday (No Nights, No Weekends, No Holidays) 
  • Assignment Length: 25-26 School Year 
  • Weekly Pay + Benefits
  • Start: August 5, 2025

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate academic, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Provide counseling and intervention services to students to address mental health concerns, social skills development, and crisis management.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding special education and mental health services.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology (preferred).
  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (state-specific).
  • Experience working with students across diverse age groups and backgrounds, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education regulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Additional Information:

The School Psychologist works to support students through a variety of mental health and developmental issues and aid in qualifying students for additional support services.  The School Psychologist is responsible for providing on-site psychological services to students under the jurisdiction of the state and district. 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Must maintain current State licensures and/or certifications in state of assignment 
  • Experience in pediatric and adolescent population is preferred 
  • Master’s degree in psychology preferred 
  • Current CPR if applicable 
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
