The Psychiatric or Mental/Behavioral Health LVN is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the psychiatric unit of a hospital, mental health/behavioral health hospital, or they can be responsible for care in community settings.
The LVN must demonstrate the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in collaboration with the care team.
Job Duties: Supervising / Managing DSPs and caring for the young adult population (6). 24/7 residential behavioral care.
Schedule: M-F, AM shift
Minimum Requirements:
- Current LVN license in state of assignment
- 2 year experience in a psychiatric care setting preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
