Position Summary:
Amergis is seeking a licensed and experienced School Physical Therapist to provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to students in public school settings. The therapist will support students with physical disabilities and motor challenges to access their educational environment and participate in school activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ physical therapy needs in accordance with IDEA and Section 504.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students in school settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student mobility and participation.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with FERPA, HIPAA, and district policies.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning.
- Provide training and consultation to school staff on positioning, mobility, and adaptive equipment.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Current and valid California Physical Therapist License issued by the Physical Therapy Board of California.
- Minimum of 1 year of pediatric or school-based physical therapy experience preferred.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of California education regulations, IEP process, and best practices in school-based therapy.
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Pay Rate: $55–$65 per hour (DOE)
