RN-CORRECTIONS-BELLINGHAM, WA

Correctional RN works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of the incarcerated population.  The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specific challenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing care to their patient population.  This care includes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable   
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements   
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Specific Qualifications Needed	1+ year of nursing experience, ideally in jail/corrections WA RN license required, compact RN license is okay as well. LICENSES MUST BE ACTIVE AND CANNOT BE IN PENDING STATUS

Length of Contract	13 weeks to start
Shift	4x10H, 40 hours per week. 10:30am-9pm. Must be open to working at least one weekend day per week

Pay Package	Local rate: $50/hr.   $32/hr. taxable $770/wk. housing stipend $476/wk. housing and incidentals stipend Total weekly gross: $2526
