TheTeacher for the Visually Impaired provides students with appropriate learningexperiences and activities designed to help them in social, intellectual, andemotional growth.  The Teacher for theVisually Impaired organizes and implements an instructional program forvisually impaired students.

$2,200 Gross Weekly

• Local Pay: $55 per hour (taxable wages)
• Start: 7/28/2025
• Duration: 9 months
• Hours: 40
• Location: Shawnee Mission, KS

Minimum Requirements: 

• TVI Certification required
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations
• One year experience as a teacher for the visually impaired preferred 
• Current CPR if applicable 
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
