Amergis Healthcare Staffing is looking to hirea Certified Special Education Teacher to providequality services to special education students anywhere from kindergartenthrough grade 12, through a commitment to team participation in planning andimplementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorialassistance and consultation with general education staff. Key Details:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Typical Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Pay Rate: $45 – $60/hr. but negotiable Dep. On Exp.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares student education plans in consultation with parents and IEP team members.
- Designs instruction, both individual and small group, which parallels the general education curriculum.
- Serves as the coordinator of IEP implementation with general education staff.
- Monitors student progress, participates in review and revision of student’s IEP, as appropriate.
- Maintains accurate student records
- Mentors and supports teaching assistants who provide support to students with disabilities
- Assess students’ skills and educational needs and tracks student’s performance
- Communicates to maintain positive relationships with students and their parents
- Follows School District policies and procedures
- Other Special Education Teacher related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university – (emphasis in appropriate field preferred).
- Transcripts Preferred.
- State SPED Teacher Certification Required; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching, Standard Secondary Teaching, and Standard Special Teaching preferred.
- Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
- Full command, verbal and written, of the English language.
- Recent TB results and/or chest X-ray.
