1.1 Paraprofessional ESY

The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department and/or supervising designee.  The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Position Details:

Modality: School Aide (level 1)

Openings: 1

Shifts: Monday through Thursday, 8:30am – 12pm

Hours Per Week:  estimated 14 hours

Contract Length: ESY (4 weeks)

Start Date: June 30, 2025 – July 31, 2025

Pay Details:

Local Pay:  $20/ hour

REPORTING ADDRESS: Peters Township High School 

1:1 Paraprofessional to support a student going into 11th grade. Male student, non-aggressive behaviors. He is in a wheelchair and is a very social student. He needs mobility support around the school building/ classrooms and academic support keeping him on task. **If a good fit, position will extend into next school year**

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

School support staff screener required. Note must be set on candidate’s profile as general comments. Resume also required.

Facility Details:

Orientation: none, will be supported by the special education teacher and other classroom staff

First Day Instructions:  will receive once FP and approved through the district
