About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting students and making a difference in their lives? Amergis Educational Services is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to join our team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to support students’ emotional, social, and academic success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Individualized Health Plans (IHPs)
- Create a supportive and therapeutic environment for students
- Design and deliver personalized service plans
- Facilitate smooth transitions between therapy and classroom settings
- Implement behavioral interventions and positive reinforcement strategies
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Utilize community resources to support student welfare
- Collaborate with school staff, interns, and volunteers
Qualifications
- Licensure: Professional Educator License with SSW endorsement (required)
- Education: MSW or LCSW may be required
- Certifications: CPR, TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray, Health certificate
- Compliance: Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Skills: Strong communication skills, computer proficiency, understanding of HIPAA
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old
