About the Role

Are you passionate about supporting students and making a difference in their lives? Amergis Educational Services is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to join our team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to support students’ emotional, social, and academic success.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Individualized Health Plans (IHPs)
• Create a supportive and therapeutic environment for students
• Design and deliver personalized service plans
• Facilitate smooth transitions between therapy and classroom settings
• Implement behavioral interventions and positive reinforcement strategies
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
• Utilize community resources to support student welfare
• Collaborate with school staff, interns, and volunteers

Qualifications

• Licensure: Professional Educator License with SSW endorsement (required)
• Education: MSW or LCSW may be required
• Certifications: CPR, TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray, Health certificate
• Compliance: Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Skills: Strong communication skills, computer proficiency, understanding of HIPAA
• Age: Must be at least 18 years old
