Special Education Teacher – 2025–2026 School Year
Location: Oak Park, MI
Job Type: Full-time | Start Date: August 18, 2025
Pay: $1,400/week ($40/hour)
About the Role
Amergis is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with special needs in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Adapt and modify curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
- Monitor and assess student progress
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Associate’s Degree considered)
- Valid Michigan Special Education Teaching Certification
- OR Substitute Teacher License with relevant experience in special education or mental health
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with students with special needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
