Mental Health Specialist: Willing to take LCSW, LPC, LSSP, or an experienced LMSW who is in clinical supervision or agreeable to AISD’s clinical supervision

Candidate will be traveling from campus to campus depending on where students are located  

Day to Day Duties:

Will be assigned more than 1 campus to float and complete 1 on 1 counseling services with students. Will be working for the Special Education department and will be required to conduct Counseling/Evaluation services.

The School Counselor/School Mental Health Worker providescounseling to students in need of counseling and/or support with their mentalhealth needs.    

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Licensing/Certification according to state/facility/contractrequirement 
  • The Counselor may be required to have an Associate’s Degree,Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Psychology, Addictions, Sociology, Social Work,Counseling, Nursing, or some other Human Development major  per state, contract and/or facility guidelines. 
  • Current CPR if applicable 
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
