Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the licensedvocational/practical nurse medical surgical assumes responsibility andaccountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery ofpatient care.  Consistently performsaccording to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care andassisting others in the management of patient care.

  • $35/hour
  • Shift: Rotating – D/N or straight nights
  • Expected to work every other weekend.
  • *The LPN candidate MUST be able to take their own assignment.* (Please ensure your candidate is acceptable to this)
  • This is NOT an LTC unit; minimum of 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience is required.
  • This is a great opportunity for LPNs who are in process of becoming RN.
  • AHA BLS is required.
  • The facility will accept local LPN candidates.
  • Float is expected to other MS/Tele units. If floating to ICU or ER, it would be to care for Med Surg level patients or to be helping hands.
  • Facility can call off up to 3 shifts for 13-week contract and 2 shifts less than 13-week contract.
  • Expected to work every other holiday.
  • Eight hours of non-billable orientation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse License in statepracticing 
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
