OB/GEN Ultrasound Tech

Amergis Staffing iscurrently seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technician for a contract assignment in Chicago, IL!

Position Details:

Contract Length: 13 weeks (+ability toextend)

Number of Openings: 1

Start Date: 6/9 or within 3 weeks of offer

Hours/Shifts/Schedules: 40 (5×8’s) / Days/ 9a-5:30p / Every other weekend

On-Call: Every 6th week (Mon-Sat 12a-5a and Sun 12a-7a)

Setting:

• Teaching hospital and Level I adult trauma center
• OB/GEN

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of OB/GEN Ultrasound Tech experience
• Experience with OB anatomy scans to include heart views (3VV and 3VTV, RVOT and LVOT)
• ARDMS, IEMA
• BLS (AHA)

TheUltrasound Technician performs a variety of specialized technical tasksutilizing high frequency ultrasound waves to assist with the detection ofmedical conditions or abnormalities by producing images of the inside of apatient’s body.

Minimum Requirements:

• A certification from an accredited ultrasound school 
• One year of experience as an ultrasound technician preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
