The Medical Social Worker collaborates with themultidisciplinary team to provide input in the development of the plan of carefor those patients requiring social work intervention. The Medical Social Worker provides medicallynecessary intervention to patients who have social or emotional problems thatare, or are expected to be, impediment(s) to the effective treatment of themedical condition and/or rate of recovery. Additionally, the Medical Social Worker provides these services inaccordance with physician’s orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree in Social Work (BSW) or Master’s degreefrom a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Educationper state/client requirements required
- Minimum of one (1) year of social work experience in ahealth care environment in the last two years preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Position Details:
· Contract Length: 24 Weeks
· Number of Openings: 6
· Shift Length: 8Hrs
· Shifts: M-F 8a-5p – 40Hrs/Wk
· Start Date: 6/2 and 6/16
Compensation:
*Total Travel Package = $2206/wk
· Weekly Taxable Income: $960/wk — $24hr X 40hrs = $960/wk
· Weekly Travel Stipends: Lodging ($770/wk) and Meals ($476/wk)
*Total Local Package = $1920/wk
· Weekly Taxable Income: $1920/wk — $48hr X 40hrs = $1920/wk
*Based upon qualifying for position and allowances. Total package is inclusive of taxable wages and allowances.
