The Psychiatric or Mental/Behavioral Health LPN isresponsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process and thedelivery of patient care in the psychiatric unit of a hospital, mentalhealth/behavioral health hospital, or they can be responsible for care incommunity settings.

The LPN must demonstrate the ability to make clinicaljudgments in an effective and efficient manner with the supervision of a RegisteredNurse and in collaboration with the care team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current LPN license in state of assignment
  • 1 year experience in a psychiatric care setting preferred
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age 

?? LPN – Psychiatric | Pueblo, CO | $2,460 Weekly Gross! ??

?? Location: Pueblo, Colorado
?? Position: Licensed Practical Nurse – Psychiatric State Hospital
?? Schedule: 48 hours/week 4×12’s
?? Shift: Days and Nights needed – 4 shifts/week, 
?? Start Date: June 16, 2025
?? Contract Length: 26 weeks (with potential to extend)
?? Weekly Gross Pay: $2,460/week

?? Pay Package Breakdown:

  • Total Weekly Gross: $2,460/week
  • Untaxed Housing Stipend: $749/week
  • Untaxed Meals & Incidentals Stipend: $413/week
  • Hourly Rate (Taxable): $21.25/hour 
  • Overtime Rate: $56/hour

All stipends are compliant with GSA guidelines and IRS tax-free requirements for travelers.

  • Minimum 1 year of recent LPN experience Psychiatric state Hospital or Behavioral hospital preferred
  • Active LPN license (Colorado or compact state)
  • BLS certification required
  • Strong communication, de-escalation, and patient observation skills
